Bakewell Holiday Cottage is a cottage to rent in Bakewell Derbyshire, and is a perfect place for couples to stay, for a cosy holiday in a stone built cottage which is over 220 years old. This cottage is all about location – You are located very close to the centre of Bakewell but on a quiet lane, within the conservation area. It ticks all the boxes for a great holiday let – a log burner, a number of pubs and bars within 1 minutes walk, a short drive to Chatsworth House and walking distance to the Monsall trail. A holiday in the heart of the Peak District, close to all the amenities and adjacent to the Church. Bakewell holiday cottage – just the perfect place for a break this year. The holiday cottage has 2 bedrooms, a king sized bedroom and a single bedroom.

Installed in 2020 a new log efficient log burner. Easy to light and soon warming up the whole cottage ( We've put extra insulation in the loft during 2020 and there is central heating too, so you won't be feeling cold). The windows are all new in 2020 - so you can open them when it gets too warm!
2020/2021 Refurbishment
Lots of work has been undertaken on the holiday cottage during 2020/2021. Whilst on lockdown we were busily improving. New oven, new log burner, new shower, freshly decorated, lots of new linen, new TV and new windows to list a few of the things.
Within a short distance of the holiday cottage, there is so much to see and do. You won't be short of ideas and you may have to come back for another weekend to fit it all in. From walking in the Peak District to visiting the iconic Chatsworth House. Follow the picture for ideas.

Original features throughout the whole cottage
During the refurbishment of 2020 we have exposed one of the original stone walls and beams in the main bedroom. The wall has been newly pointed and become a lovely feature in the holiday cottage. The lounge has an original stone fireplace and structural exposed beams. The beams are exposed in all of the room upstairs.

It was toasty warm on our arrival ( Many holiday lets aren’t) and from then on everything was perfect.
You have thought of everything guests would need, modernised the interior whilst retaining the original features and character and everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
We have enjoyed out short stay in Bakewell and would definitely stay again.
